Nothing in these screenshots has been altered except to hide private details: the seller's phone number at the top of the text screenshots, the buyer's name and home address where they were sent for shipping, and payment details marked out in red.
Facebook Marketplace
The listing, the promise it was clean, and the deal
The opening conversation on Facebook Marketplace. Asked point blank whether the 2026 Topps Finest Shohei Ohtani SSP had any noticeable damage, the seller answered: “No, it's real clean. I got it in a break.” From there the price is negotiated down from $1,400 to $1,200, the seller steers payment to Zelle, and shipping is arranged. The listing itself was later deleted.

The deal, the Zelle payments, and the tracking that never moved
The conversation moves to text. $1,200 is sent by Zelle in three transfers, a tracking number is handed over, and then nothing happens. Asked for a drop-off receipt, the seller says there isn't one — “it was all electronic.”

Days of no movement and shifting explanations
Day after day with no carrier scan. The buyer asks for a refund on a package that appears lost. The seller promises one “if there's no movement” and insists “you will get that card.”

The card arrives damaged — then the refusal and the block
Before it arrives, he argues no one “deep in the card world” with as many followers as he has would cheat anyone. The card then shows up with a soft, whitened bottom-right corner that appears in none of his photos. He demands pictures of it, and when the buyer offers a partial refund or a full refund with the card sent back, he answers: “now I don't give a s---. Do your worst kid. I'll take my chances. Oh and I'm blocking you here also. ✌️”
